The Sachsen Classic 2026 rallye
For more than two decades, the Sachsen Classic has been one of Germany's most renowned classic car rallies. Every year, it brings automotive classics to the roads of Saxony, combining technical history with scenic diversity. In 2026, the event once again thrilled participants with a field of historic vehicles from various eras and a route that led through the most beautiful regions of the Free State.
Unlike classic racing events, the focus is not on speed or record times. Rather, it's on precision, reliability, and the perfect interplay between driver and co-driver. These very values have made the Sachsen Classic a fixed date on the calendar for classic car enthusiasts from all over Germany for years."
A journey through Saxony's most beautiful landscapes
This year's Sachsen Classic started in Dresden and initially took participants towards the Eastern Ore Mountains. The vehicles passed through Altenberg and along numerous winding roads that snaked through the low mountain range landscape. The route then crossed the German-Czech border to the race track in Most, before the first leg led back to Saxony.
On the second day of the rally, the focus shifted to the southeast of the Free State. The route led through the Zittau Mountains, along the Saxon-Bohemian border, and finally through the impressive landscapes of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. With its diverse sections, the rally once again provided the perfect stage for classic cars and their drivers.
Home game in Glashütte
A particular highlight of the rally this year was once again the passage through Glashütte. This section of the route holds special significance for UNION GLASHÜTTE, as the brand's home lies in the heart of the Free State of Saxony. The arrival of the historic vehicles in the watchmaking town was met by numerous visitors, transforming the streets around the German Watch Museum into an impressive backdrop for automotive classics.
The participants made a stop at UNION GLASHÜTTE before continuing their journey through the Ore Mountains. In doing so, the Sachsen Classic rally connected two worlds that share many common values: traditional craftsmanship and technical precision. For the brand, this moment was far more than just a leg of the route. It was a homecoming, where the passion for historic automobiles and Glashütte watchmaking expertise converged in a unique way.
