With the Averin Chronograph Limited Edition Sachsen Classic 2026, UNION GLASHÜTTE presents a timepiece that translates the unmistakable style of classic racing cars into a modern form. Limited to 350 pieces, this edition combines striking design, mechanical precision, and a strong connection to the automotive passion that the Sachsen Classic has represented for years.
The design is characterized by an expressive color palette: white, signal red, and various shades of gray create a dynamic look reminiscent of iconic racing cars from the 1970s and 1980s. At the same time, the special structure of the dial lends the chronograph exceptional depth and a distinctive character. The harmoniously integrated subdials evoke the feel of classic cockpit instruments, while the red chronograph hand adds a sporty touch and emphasizes the model's functionality.
Striking design meets Glashütte precision
The characteristic stainless steel case with its The cushion-shaped silhouette gives the Averin Chronograph a powerful presence on the wrist. With its well-balanced dimensions of 41 x 41 millimeters, the watch combines a sporty look with exceptional wearing comfort. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a display back complete the high-quality appearance.
The limited edition is powered by the automatic caliber UNG-27.S2. Featuring a silicon balance spring, a power reserve of at least 65 hours, and a chronograph function, this movement embodies the high quality and reliability of Glashütte watchmaking.
For maximum flexibility, two straps are included: A red rubber strap emphasizes the chronograph's sporty character, while the gray suede strap with racing perforations and red accents elegantly interprets its historical motorsport heritage. Thanks to the quick-release system, the watch's look can be easily changed at any time.

Union Glashütte uses only 316L stainless steel for cases, bracelets, and clasps. This alloy is characterized by high corrosion resistance, stability, and skin compatibility, and has established itself as a particularly reliable material in watchmaking.
Elaborate machining processes create differentiated surfaces – from satin-finished to high-gloss polished. Their precise interplay gives the watch depth and contour and underscores the high manufacturing quality.

Union Glashütte primarily uses calfskin – smooth or crocodile-embossed – as well as cowhide, horsehide, and goatskin for its watch straps. Each of these materials brings its own unique texture and characteristics, giving the watch an individual character.
As a natural material, leather develops a characteristic patina over time. This change reflects its use and underscores the wearer's personal style.
Water resistance
The water resistance of UNION GLASHÜTTE watches varies depending on the model: Men's watches are protected up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m), women's watches up to 5 bar (50 m), and gold watches up to 3 bar (30 m). Selected sporty models may offer even higher water resistance.
The stated water resistance is not a permanent characteristic and can be affected by external factors such as the aging of the seals and mechanical stress on the crown or pushers. To ensure continued functionality, regular checks are recommended.
UNION GLASHÜTTE recommends having the water resistance checked approximately once a year by an authorized service partner and replacing any necessary components. Work on the case should only be carried out by qualified professionals.
