Two new models to mark the founder's 180th birthday

UNION GLASHÜTTE honors Johannes Dürrstein, the founder of the UNION watch factory, with two exclusive new additions to the 1893 Collection: the Johannes Dürrstein Anniversary Editions Large Seconds 41 mm and Small Seconds 34 mm. Both models pay homage to Glashütte watchmaking tradition and draw inspiration from the design created for the 175th anniversary – a successful fusion of history and modernity. With these new releases, UNION GLASHÜTTE follows the visionary approach of its founder: everything that makes a watch beautiful and precise, but nothing that makes it expensive – a principle that continues to define the brand today.

The models are available individually and as a strictly limited set.

Harmony and sophistication – the face of the anniversary editions

The Large Seconds watch impresses with its off-center dial design, where the hour and minute displays are positioned on the left and the large seconds hand on the right – an arrangement inspired by classic Glashütte design elements. The harmonious layout and refined proportions lend the model a special depth and elegance.

The dial of both models is a masterpiece of craftsmanship: the taupe-colored outer area is granulated, while the inner area is finely sandblasted. The applied, silver-brushed dial section and the delicate minute track with its grooved, vinyl-look finish add structure and sophistication. Polished, applied indices complete the overall look. For the first time, the ladies' watch – the Small Seconds – also adopts this sophisticated dial design, interpreting it in a feminine form.

The anniversary models of the 1893 collection rely on reliable automatic movements that stand for the highest precision and convenience. Both calibers offer a practical date display, stop-seconds function, and a power reserve of at least 42 hours – perfect for everyday wear and special occasions. The off-center arrangement of the displays emphasizes the character of the large and small seconds and combines technical sophistication with classic Glashütte watchmaking craftsmanship.
