Noramis Chronograph Sachsen Classic 2025
Union Glashütte was once again an official partner of the Saxony Classic Rally in 2025, which was held for the 23rd time from August 13th to 15th.
For the first time, the start and finish were in Dresden – a home event for Union Glashütte. With its baroque backdrop, the Elbe River, and the terraced banks, the state capital provided a worthy setting for the arrival of the classic cars.
The route, over 600 kilometers long, ran in several stages through picturesque landscapes and traditional cities in Saxony. Participants drove their historic cars through the Meissen wine region, over the winding roads of the Ore Mountains, and finally to the DEKRA Lausitzring, where a pure motorsport atmosphere reigned.
Three days, three stages, countless impressions
- Day 1 led through the Elbe Valley with stops in Meissen, Wackerbarth Castle, and Proschwitz Castle – including a spectacular special stage on the historic market square.
- Day 2 brought pure motorsport excitement: via Radeberg, the route continued to the DEKRA Lausitzring, where the classic cars got a taste of the authentic racetrack atmosphere.
- Day 3 was all about culture: the Ore Mountains, Chemnitz (European Capital of Culture 2025), and Freiberg provided the backdrop for the final leg. Eligible vehicles were the so-called hourglass class, i.e., vehicles built up to 2003.
The field of participants ranged from elegant pre-war models to sporty modern classics and automotive icons, such as the "Großer Werkmeister," which served as the inspiration for this year's special edition for the Sachsen Classic. While the "Großer Werkmeister" competed in several car races in the 1950s, including Formula 2, it will compete for UNION GLASHÜTTE at the Sachsen Classic in 2025. As an hourglass vintage car rally, where only mechanical measuring instruments are permitted, the Noramis Chronograph Limited Edition Sachsen Classic 2025 is not only a stylish but also a useful companion: Thanks to the state-of-the-art UNG-27.S2 mechanical automatic movement, it displays the time with extreme precision and also assists in precise short-time measurement.
Union Glashütte once again combined automotive passion with Saxon watchmaking tradition at the Sachsen Classic 2025: a perfect symbiosis of precision, design, and emotion – both on the track and on the wrist.
Exclusively desigend for the rallye
As unique as its source of inspiration!
The design of this year's limited edition for the Sachsen Classic 2025 incorporates design elements of the "Grand Werkmeister" – a unique automobile.
The chronograph dial echoes the circular structures on the roadster's dashboard. This fine perlage is hand-polished on the watch, making each of the strictly limited models exceptionally unique. Similar to the chrome-framed vehicle gauges of the Grand Werkmeister, the watch's totalizers also feature slightly protruding chrome rings. The red section of the tachometer is echoed in elements of the same color on the dial and the chronograph hands. Matching the aluminum body of the racing car, however, the color silver predominates. The black calfskin strap with double stitching lends a sporty look.
This exceptional model is limited to only 350 pieces worldwide.
