CLASSIC CAR RALLY PAUL PIETSCH 2024

As an official partner of the Paul Pietsch Classic, UNION GLASHÜTTE was looking forward to the tenth edition of the classic car rally in the Black Forest. From 26 to 27 May 2024, around 120 classic cars from seven decades took part as a tribute to the racing driver and founding publisher Paul Pietsch from the Black Forest. The oldest car in the field this year was an Austin Seven Ulster from 1930, which was driven by Paul Pietsch's grandchildren.

The rally participants not only enjoyed the sight of the rolling museum, but also the many narrow and winding sections through the Black Forest, which are always a feast for the eyes.

The first part of the route took the rally from Offenburg towards Gengenbach. Later, the route went via Hausach and Wolfach to Schiltach for a lunch stop. From there, it was back to the day's destination on Offenburg's market square.

On Saturday, the second day of the rally, the route took the participants via Sasbachwalden to a lunch break at the Kurhaus Baden-Baden. The end of the rally on this day was also Offenburg, the centre of the Paul Pietsch Classic. On the way back, Durbach and Oberkirch were passed as transit points. In addition to the day's routes, it was of course also important to drive the sometimes tricky time and distance classifications with pinpoint accuracy.
