The Paul Pietsch Special Edition is a tribute to a very special German racing driver, Paul Pietsch, and his racing cars - entirely under the motto: Legends - Made in Germany.
A timeless classic in retro style, the Noramis Chronograph features a domed sapphire crystal that has no bezel at all. The clean, open dial and mushroom pushers in the style of the 50s and 60s further highlight the vintage character of the watch. With its 42mm diameter, it is a stylishly fitting option for any wrist.
The striking feature of this timepiece is the anthracite-coloured dial in a rivet and sheet metal look, reminiscent of the classic riveted car bodies of the time. In addition, there is the coloured 12 in bright red, which refers to the racing car numbering that was so characteristic of those times and is directly eye-catching. The start/stop pusher picks up the red of the 12 again and is anodized in this strong red tone. Additionally, the color tone is picked up again on the chronograph hand. At the heart of the watch beats the UNG-27.S2 with silicon balance spring, which allows for greater accuracy. The power reserve is 60 hours.
To complete the homage to Paul Pietsch and his exceptional racing cars, the watch comes with a black calfskin strap with a special double stitching in red, reminiscent of racing tyres.

By use of Silicon, our watches are insensitive to magnetic fields, temperature fluctuations and shocks. They are very stable in shape and resistant to oxidation.

STAINLESS STEEL
The only grade of steel used by Union Glashütte is stainless steel 316L. This alloy is characterised by its excellent anti-corrosion properties.
For the relevant watches, the following components are produced from this material: cases, bracelets, double fold fasteners with two push buttons (decorated).
Saphir
The sapphire used by Union Glashütte for its crystals is a white, synthetic sapphire. Thanks to its hardness rating of 9, this crystal can only be scratched by very hard diamond-like substances.
Union Glashütte watches only use double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystals. As there are no reflections on the crystal, the full splendour of the dial is revealed.
LEATHER
Union Glashütte uses primarily calfskin for its straps, either smooth or with a crocodile skin finish, as well as cowhide, cordovan or goatskin.
Water resistance
All Union Glashütte watches are water-resistant as follows:
Men's watches up to 10 bar (100 m)
Ladies' watches up to 5 bar (50 m)
Gold watches up to 3 bar (30 m).
The water resistance cannot be guaranteed indefinitely. It may become compromised by ageing of the seals or knocks to the crown or push-buttons. We therefore recommend that you have the water resistance of your watch checked once a year by an approved Union Glashütte Service Centre and, if required, that you replace any defective parts.
Do not open the watch yourself under any circumstances.
