With the Noramis Date Limited Edition Petro Surf 2026, UNION GLASHÜTTE brings the unique atmosphere of the Petro Surf Festival on Sylt to your wrist. Strictly limited to 200 pieces, this special edition combines mechanical precision from Glashütte with the aesthetics of classic sports cars and the laid-back flair of the international surf and lifestyle scene.
At its heart is an extraordinary dial inspired by an iconic vintage car wheel. Delicate screws evoke wheel nuts, while black PVD-coated rim spokes stand out three-dimensionally against the black background. This three-dimensional design lends the watch a special depth, making it a striking statement piece for lovers of classic automobiles and sophisticated design. The signature retro-style Noramis hands are partially coated in white, creating a bold contrast to the dark dial. Combined with the greenish-hued Super-LumiNova® coating and the marked hour markers, the time remains reliably legible – even in poor lighting conditions. With a diameter of 40 millimeters and a height of just 10.4 millimeters, the stainless steel case is well-balanced and comfortable to wear. Union Glashütte uses only 316L stainless steel for cases, bracelets, and clasps. This alloy is characterized by high corrosion resistance, stability, and skin compatibility, and has established itself as a particularly reliable material in watchmaking.
Elaborate machining processes create differentiated surfaces – from satin-finished to high-gloss polished. Their precise interplay gives the watch depth and contour and underscores the high manufacturing quality.

Union Glashütte primarily uses calfskin – smooth or crocodile-embossed – as well as cowhide, horsehide, and goatskin for its watch straps. Each of these materials brings its own unique texture and characteristics, giving the watch an individual character.
As a natural material, leather develops a characteristic patina over time. This change reflects its use and underscores the wearer's personal style.
Water resistance
The water resistance of UNION GLASHÜTTE watches varies depending on the model: Men's watches are protected up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m), women's watches up to 5 bar (50 m), and gold watches up to 3 bar (30 m). Selected sporty models may offer even higher water resistance.
The stated water resistance is not a permanent characteristic and can be affected by external factors such as the aging of the seals and mechanical stress on the crown or pushers. To ensure continued functionality, regular checks are recommended.
UNION GLASHÜTTE recommends having the water resistance checked approximately once a year by an authorized service partner and replacing any necessary components. Work on the case should only be carried out by qualified professionals.
