Retro style in perfect form: The ultra-domed sapphire crystal in the Noramis Date by Union Glashütte provides an optimum view of the dial on this bezel-less timepiece – a design sure to attract envious side glances and, with a case diameter of 40 millimetres, to flatter both male and female wrists. The back of the timepiece is worth a look too, where the dependable UNG 07.01 movement is visible through the sapphire case-back. It boasts an impressive power reserve of up to 60 hours, a high rate stability and excellent winding performance.
The Noramis collection represents the elegance of the 1950s and 1960s, emphasised in this timepiece by an ultra-domed sapphire crystal and similarly domed dial. Depending on the angle of view, the anti- reflective coating (on both faces) gives the impression of there being no glass at all. The unembellished design does without a bezel altogether, resulting in a particularly flat and pared-down appearance. The retro style is perfected by either a fine-knit Milanese bracelet or an elegant thin leather strap.
Whichever way you look it, this timepiece is a feast for the eyes. The sapphire case-back reveals the mechanical UNG 07.01 movement, that is decorated, assembled and calibrated by hand by Glashütte watchmakers. It impresses with its long power reserve of up to 60 hours and an extremely stable rate that is the result of an indexless regulation system. The modified custom-made rotor ensures outstandingly high winding performance. The Noramis Date is water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 metres).
The model is available in various dial models and with either a stainless steel Milanese bracelet for EUR/CHF 2100.00 or a leather strap for EUR/CHF 1860.00 (recommended retail price).
